My maternal grandfather Ruben Pellish (Rubie as we called him) began the original company in
1926 with his watchmaker brother Uncle Dave. Unfortunately he was the
victim of an armed robbery in 1962 in his downtown
Denver
retail store. Wisely he courted
insurance companies to refer replacements to him for a discount on the
replacement jewelry, and was able to move to a locked setting. I have
continued his tradition since 1985 with pride. Like him, I believe the
exercise of jewelry is the expression of sentiment. My mother Kay, an integral
part of the business, worked with me for many years. In addition to
insurance replacements, I do appraising, including working with attorneys and
insurance companies on estates or cases regarding jewelry. My background
is fine arts and forte jewelry design. I have featured on the website some of
my custom work and designs. I believe my responsibility is to use my
expertise with jewelry to fulfill the client's vision or needs with honesty and
integrity.
And greatest thanks to my husband/partner Len, with whom I created this
web site as well as a web application for insurances carriers to value jewelry
and an appraisal application for jewelers.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us.
